From November 17th ,2017 to November 20th , 2017, National Economics Foundation (NEF) invited Peter Robinson, the Tooke Professor of Economic Science and Statistics at the London School of Economics, and Oliver Linton, Fellow of Trinity College and Professor of Political Economy at University of Cambridge, to be guests of the NEF’s 2017 “Economics Frontier Lectures”. On November 20th, 2017, Professor Peter Robinson visited University of International Business and Economics and gave the listeners a lecture called Inference on Trending Panel Data. November 17th, 2017, Professor Oliver Linton visited Beihang University and gave the listeners a lecture titled with Estimation in Semiparametric Quantile Factor Models.

Peter Robinson

Peter M. Robinson is Tooke Professor of Economic Science and Statistics at the London School of Economics, Co-Director of the Econometrics Programme, STICERD, and Fellow of the Centre for Microdata Methods and Practice. He is a Fellow of the Econometric Society, a Fellow of the Institute of Mathematical Statistics, a Member of the International Statistical Institute and a Fellow of the British Academy.

Oliver Linton

Oliver Linton is Fellow of Trinity College and Professor of Political Economy at University of Cambridge. He received his PhD in Economics from UC Berkeley in 1991. His research areas are: statistics, econometrics, estimation and prediction of semiparametric and nonparametric models, time series analysis, financial statistics, large sample theory.
